Black Scallop Tong

A 250mm serving tong in black polycarbonate, with a spring that holds it open and a scalloped edge that actually grips.

The scallop is the useful part. A flat-edged tong slides off lettuce and slips on a bread roll; a scalloped one holds them. This is a salad and buffet tong rather than a braai tong — it's for serving food onto plates, not turning meat over coals.

Polycarbonate means it goes through a commercial dishwasher with everything else and won't scratch the surface of the bowls it's used in. The black finish stays looking clean next to white tableware in a way that a stained wooden or clear plastic server doesn't.
