Bread Knife

A 200mm serrated bread knife — the shorter of our two bread knives, and the more manageable size for everyday use.

200mm handles a standard loaf, rolls, baguettes and pastry without the extra length of a 250mm blade getting in the way in a domestic kitchen or a camp kitchen where counter space is short. The serrated edge cuts crust cleanly rather than compressing the loaf ahead of the blade.

This comes out of the catering knife range Blue Swallow supplies to commercial kitchens, so it's specified for daily service rather than occasional use.

Hand wash and dry — a steel blade shouldn't go through a dishwasher cycle if you want it to keep its edge.
